If you have a topic and you are embarrased that they would focus on you than your essays..make a demonstration photos so they would focus more on the pictures/demo and you can talk while they are looking at your photos.or demo poster..you could also write notes on the back of your demo paper..
.
recently,,someone read the essay in our class with demo photos and students are focused on the subject and the photos she was showing..

Think of 3 things, like something about yourself, something you have done, a place you have visited, or something you know about. Think ahead about some details for them. Write them down ahead of time–in outline form is enough to trigger your memory. Use index cards if you want to take them with you. That way you won’t have to pull ideas at a time when you are nervous.

When you get up to give your speech, take a deep breath, smile, and pretend you are talking to a friend or your mom. If your teacher is stressing eye contact, pick 3 things to look at in the back of the room and pretend the 3 things are people you talk with often.

Your teacher should be helping the whole class with ideas for topics and presentation skills. That is what speech class is for. Your teacher will already be able to tell that you need some encouragement so you don’t freeze, but you may need to ask for some help from the teacher about what he or she is expecting. Until you find that out, try to remember that all the rest of the members of the class are also nervous and are just plain people also, so you are among friends.

Good luck!! You can do it. You won’t die. Just think ahead, RELAX and have fun.

Practice and write out what you want to say then go over it and make changes. If you do that enough you will remember everything you wrote and won't need to read it word for word. You can also make note cards to help you recall the things you want to talk about or say. Think of them like prompts for an idea or topic you want to talk about do not try writing your speech on the note cards they are for reference only.

I guess you are feeling the responsibility of delivering good best man wedding speeches. Try not to get so nervous. It has been a great honor that you have been chosen by the groom as the best man for this special moment for the couple. Feel confident as you know the groom better than anyone else. Besides the best man wedding speech you also have to coordinate the wedding and reception so that everything runs smoothly.
Try to plan in advance as to have time to create a quality speech.
As you begin your best man wedding speech, it is important to introduce yourself first and then thank the bride and groom’s parents for inviting everyone to the wedding.
Include some jokes. You can find many on-line wedding jokes as to gain the guests attention. Try to keep all your jokes ‘PG’ rated.
Tell a story about how you got to know the couple. Try to show through your stories, what kind of person the groom is. Try to mention good qualities.
Say why the newly weds are a perfect match and finally it would be time to toast. You can conclude your best man wedding speech by offering them a word of advice for the future. Wish them luck and ask everyone to raise their glass and congratulate them on the new life they are about to begin together.

Talk about something you know.

Imagine you are just telling your friends about something that happened at school or work.

If you are over 18, consider joining Toastmasters. It is a non profit club which provides a safe environment in which to practice public speaking and leadership. The other members will help you more than you can believe. Unlike the class TM is FUN.

I joined because I am also a foreigner and have an accent. I needed to be able to go out and give talks about my work and be sure that I was understood.

WOW! congratulations! Sorry, I don't know much about weddings but I have heard people try jokes and talk about their good memories/childhood memories of their friend that is being married (choose a specific memory and make sure it doesn't include any sort of embarrassment of others). Talk about how happy you are for the groom and bride??

Basically, all you have to do is practice. Sometimes I practice in front of the mirror. Remember to project your voice, always check your grammar before delivering your speech as well. Don't be embarrassed. The less nervous you are, the easier it is. Why don't you try practicing in front of friends first.

The best man at the wedding is usually the groom’s best friend. That said, you should just act natural. Wish the two of them a lovely relationship, bring up an old memory that involves the groom and his bride, try to be light and humorous. Don’t be all serious unless the groom has no sense of humor, and I hope he does since he’s getting married.

can somebody give me an idea or advice on how to deliver a great speech in front of the class?
i just came here in the US three years ago. i just started a speech class for summer and everytime i go in front of the class, all my ideas go away. it’s embarrassing to stand in front of the class wasting time,still thinking what to say. pls. help me!! thanks!
